I just started watching Westworld, a place where humans have created a western-themed Truman-esque world where clones are programmed to work and live based on a story line given to them by their programmers. The catch – the AI’s have no idea they are not real. If you’re a real person (and, rich) you can visit Westworld and experience the wild west. From there the show takes you down a dark winding path looking at how people choose to live when they don’t have a moral compass tying them down. I’m hooked. Not only because of the uncomfortable way the show unnerves you after each episode, but because its a show that has that familiar 80’s sci-fiction feel that television seems to have forgotten.
