In the car I sometimes listen to bad run of the mill radio music, but sometimes I listen to podcasts. Here is one that caught my attention on NPR’s 99% Invisible. Its a fun look into the history of word tracking. In particular, the podcast takes you into the den of Merriam-Webster researchers and reveals the way words were stored and added to the dictionary year ago. Not only was it a look back in time, but also reminded me that technology is continually changing the way we record and experience the world around us.
