Often researchers are interested in studying how we remember important life events. We know from this line of research that the brain words hard to store information. Although, researchers have recently become interested in the amount of brain power it takes to forget experiences as well. In fact, researchers at the University of Texas at Austin are discovering that moderate levels of brain activity (similar to the amounts needed to remember) are needed for people to have some control of what they choose to forget.
